about
"When I first head the track I pictured a deserted village, so I tried to recreate the heat haze on the horizon as you’d drive into that village. Gwenno’s vocal gives you the chance to set whatever backdrop you want." James Dean Bradfield
James Dean Bradfield's remix of N.Y.C.A.W. (Wales is not for sale) adds a galloping rhythm section, a gorgeous acoustic guitar, strings and an angelic choir of backing vocals to create a perfectly dreamy new world for Gwenno's vocals to inhabit.

I always love Nicky Wire's lyrics - their wisdom, wit, sadness, and rebellion. Wire ages almost painfully gracefully. This particular song feels like it was written for me (it probably wasn't) because of some letters and art I sent or tried to send Wire a long time ago when I was in a mental health crisis. In any case, it seems to be about someone who had the stupid and embarrassing experience of loving a famous stranger they know only from their art. richeychthonic

Well, does it live up to the hype? It's okay, not as good as 'Loops' or the 'Fenella' stuff; i doubt i'll be listening to it in full very often.
Her mojo is waneing in my 'umble opinion. vykr
